Oh look we have wifi and big change of plans…

Started the day with coffee at our one night rental.

The plan was moving to a campground for 2 nights further up north, but…

The night before, a place I wanted to originally stay at, became available and the weather was turning soggy again, so I took it as a sign to cancel the camping reservations and book this little oceanside cottage in St. Lunaire-griquet. We are in the land of the Vikings.

We had three stops to make on our way to this rental.

First stop to walk on thrombolites, only found in Flowers Cove, NL and in Australia.

Next we did a short hiking trail in St. Anthony. It is one of the trails that is part of the Fishing Point Park Trail system. Little did I know this particular trail included a lighthouse.

Our final stop of the day was The Dark Tickle Company. We’ve had their jams last year, but wanted to come to their actual facility to see what else they had. We didn’t know they have a cafe upstairs from their shop.

We enjoyed a delightful lunch of soup and fish cakes. We started off with a bakeapple and gooseberry drink/sodaish. We plan to return before we leave this area…

Oh wait we aren’t leaving this area after all. We have decided to extended our stay because the rugged coastline is dramatic and we have more trails to hike. Once we landed and unpacked at this rental I went outside to read until the wind blew the kindle out of my hand.

We decided to cancel all our camping reservations and book airbnbs instead for the rest of the trip, luckily there were some good ones left.
