Yesterday (July 4th) we couldn’t totally outrun the fog. So we found a hike that might be dramatic in the fog.
We headed about 40 minutes north of us to Heart’s Ease Beach Path following the Jimmy Dick’s Path. It was 2 miles and took us 90 minutes. We did have a whale sighting, but no pictures.

After that we returned to the rental, grabbed lunch and returned to Chance Cove Coastal Trail. Here we had 3 whale sightings. They were feeding on capelin (notice dark patches in the water, that is the capelin).

We had a total whale count of 5 this trip. Hopefully there will be more.
