Day 22 – On the Move

Leave one spot to move to another. I will really miss the little house at Chance Cove. I said my final goodbyes😢.

We headed to the south of Avalon Peninsula. Our first stop was to La Manche Suspension Bridge. It was an ok hike. I think having some unruly kids on the trail, almost running us over didn’t help add to the atmosphere and the fact people weren’t picking up after their dogs was frustrating.

It was a two mile out and back.

We continued on to the Ferryland Lighthouse. This was on my wanted to see list. We must have timed it just right because there maybe two families we saw the entire time there. They do offer a picnic lunch service but it had been canceled for the day. It is a 3/4 mile of a walk to get to the lighthouse.

The weather was moody and it was a perfect fit for the setting.

Our route to the new lakeside rental took us to puffin chairs. Of course we had to sit in them! Or sat, Mike stood.

We arrived at the lake house and settled in. The sunset was glorious.
