Day 13 Visits From and Visits To

Our morning was wam enough, we ate breakfast outside. Mother Nature decided to gift us a bald eagle family to watch.

We decided to take the ferry to Long Island. The ferry ride was all of five minutes.

We went to hike the Beothuk trail. 2.3 miles and over an hour hike time. Of course it had more stairs, oh but the views…

After our hike we stopped at Long Island Heritage Tea Room. We grabbed a quick bite before we went on the 1 p.m. ferry.

Our next visit was to the Sperm Whale Pavilion in Triton. It had the skeleton of a sperm whale. While there we met the Mayor of Triton. Our tour guide was Terry, a retired P.E. teacher. He was so informative and a great guide of the sperm whale skeleton. After an hour, the tour was over. The whale was so large I couldn’t get it in the entire frame.

We had one last stop to make. Of course we had to ride the back of the Loch Ness of Newfoundland.

Back at the rental, late afternoon, the eagles returned and entertained us once again. There are actually 5 eagles, 3 adults and 2 fledglings. What a treat, who knows maybe they will stop by tomorrow?

Sorry parts are blurry and shakey.
