Day 9 – We Made It to Newfoundland

We ate at our first Canadian Tim Hortons on Wednesday morning. We were shocked the coffee wasn’t bad.

We had to arrive at the ferry terminal at least two hours before boarding time. We arrived even earlier. We hung out in the terminal and wandered about.

There are 98 cabins and some fancy chairs you can reserve or just do the general seating. We opted to book a cabin. We are so happy we did. We napped, watched movies and read to make the seven hour crossing go quicker.

We waved good bye to Nova Scotia.

The crossing flew by and I must say I teared up seeing Newfoundland for the first time.

We drove off the boat and 10 minutes down the road to the rental. The view off the back porch is serene.

Thursday we are grocery shopping and exploring this part of the island. Friday we move north of here.
