Day 32 – Upper Pool

It was larger farm market Saturday. Sadly we didn’t purchase a lot of goodies because we are at the point in a trip, it’s eat everything, clean out fridge time. Why is it though we found the best little bakery on a side street on our last Saturday?

I picked up two cinnamon raisin roll breads (for french toast) and a coconut bread. We had a slice of coconut bread when we returned and it wa delicious.

Today looked like a good day weather wise to return to Lamothe River pools. Our destination this time was the upper pool. That would require some rock scrambles in the river and a bushwhack. We were up for the task. First thing on the trek though was granting permission from the trail goats to go past.

It’s an easy hike, a little under two miles with an elevation gain around 300 feet.

After cleaning up and a nap we went to dinner at Soursop, our favorite restaurant here. I had marlin and Mike had lionfish. Another great meal from them.

It was another good day.
