Day 27 – Another First

Yup another first experience I could have done without, but let’s start with the positive.

The moonset this morning was stunning and serene.

Our plan for the day was to return to Scotts Head and snorkel if all the sargassum was gone. We arrived there and it had pushed itself on to somewhere else.

We snorkeled for a while and a kind local man kept pointing out places to snorkel and what to be mindful of. There was a group out snorkeling from Jungle Bay Villas and they were having a blast.

Mike followed this turtle for a while. We think it might be a Leatherback.

We spent some time with an eel

We aren’t sure the type of boxfish, thinking Honeycomb

And what was my new first you are wondering? Moon jellyfish stings. I have never ever been stung before. It is my fault because I didn’t wear a rash guard to cover my top half. Live and learn.

On our way back we stopped at Mero Beach for lunch. Then the ginger bread lady was at the bridge, so of course I had to purchase two loaves.
