Today was in town farmers market day. We needed more fruit and veggies. We were hoping there would be fish available. Fingers crossed we could purchase some mahi-mahi, but then our eyes spotted a 60lb tuna. We forgot all about the mahi-mahi and purchased another 5 lbs of tuna. This time the guy cut us a 5lb slab, which Mike cut into quarters when we got home. This will give us another 4 meals.

The bagged item is spinach and we found red bananas. We have quite the bounty.
But wait there is more to be had fresh picked by Mike. He said “let’s go for a short walk on the farm road”. You know how this ends up…not an easy walk. At least the walk this time was on a paved road not on a ridge.
Here are the stats from the walk, notice the elevation gain…

The only reason I stuck with it was for the views and the hope we would find more fruit we could harvest.
Well we found a mango tree, passionfruit and guava. We will be back to get more mangos when they get a bit riper and with a rake so Mike can pull down branches.

We were able to pick five fruits. Hopefully the mangos left on the trees will ripen soon.

Love that we can for a walk on this island and find free for the picking fruit.
We figured we got a lot of yummy bounty today.
