Two easy to get to waterfalls today. We did Spanny and Jacko. Both falls are popular with the cruise ship crowd because of how easy they are to access. Lucky for us, we aren’t in cruise ship season.
Spanny Falls is owned by a man named, you guessed it, Spanny. It is a short .5 mile walk on a paved path to the waterfall. There is an upper and lower one. The upper one can be a bit sketchy to get to, a vertical climb using ropes and tree roots to pull yourself up. We opted to be safe today and stay at the lower Spanny fall.
We had the area all to ourselves for a good 15 minutes. Then a tour group appeared that came in on two 29 seats busses. Cue for us to exit left. We did ask the tour leader if they were going to Jacko Falls next, he said no. Phew that was our next stop.
Spanny Falls was a great waterfall for little effort to reach.

Our next waterfall was down the road a bit, Jacko. Again on private land. This one had a full .12 mile walk to it. The little to none effort this one was a WOWZA. We informed the lady who owes it we will be back some time soon with our lunches packed so we can really spend an enjoyable time here.

After that we went to a late lunch/early dinner at Soursop. We said we would return and we will keep returning, we enjoy the food that much.
Mike had the stewed octopus and I had the mahi-mahi in creole sauce. Dessert was West Indies Pudding. The meal was outstanding.

Tomorrow is leaning towards going to a nearby longer hike that includes pools! Stay tuned.
