Day 8 – This and That

We experienced a tropical wave today that ushered in rain and wind.

We had other plans, other things to do today, but weather calls the shots around here. We just hung out and read today.

We took ourselves out to dinner in the nearby town of Portsmouth, just to do something.

We went to Soursop Bar and grill and it was the best meal I’ve had so far. I had marlin with sweet potatoes croquettes, a breadfruit dish (that I could eat all the time) with a side salad. Mike had the chicken, creamy breadfruit, steamed veggies and the croquettes. This is a repeat place to eat and only 9 minutes from the cottage.

The entire meal cost us $40.00 usd. I can’t wait to try their lunch menu.

On the way home our first colorful sunset appeared, in between rain showers. Nice way to end this day of just this and that.

Let’s see what Mother Nature allows us to do tomorrow.
