Day 6 – Lazy Rainy Day

I always enjoy a good rainy day on a vacation, but not one caused by a tropical storm threat. However the storm didn’t do much except for an outer band this afternoon that prompted a flood warning.

Thank you to everyone that sent us good juju, texted, messaged us and gave advice concerning this storm. Sorry for the islands that took a beating.

We made breakfast, played double solitaire and a game or two of Blokus (travel edition). We learned the hard way not to play on the outdoor table due to unpredictable wind gusts. We couldn’t cover the cards fast enough from preventing them blowing away. Mike did have to go find one under the deck.

Late morning we went into town to pick up a few more items and decided on the way back to go to lunch at the Purple Turtle Beach Club. Mike had the mahi-mahi and I had the chicken. All the side dishes come with it, you don’t get to pick them, it just has them. The total price for lunch was $32.00. We rarely eat out on vacation. In less than a week, we’ve eaten out twice. It was delicious.

At the end of the meal the heavens opened up with torrential rain and gusty wind. It was crazy to watch.
