Day 42 (but really it was day 45 🤷🏻‍♀️)

It’s taken me a couple weeks to write about our last day, our travel day. I guess I didn’t want to admit this summer was over.

Up early to eat breakfast and enjoy the sunrise. Our host and friend, told the cats to go out and bid us farewell until our return. Bubbles and Desperado, made for an entertaining final breakfast.

We left the apartment at 7:30 a.m. and didn’t get home till 10 p.m. We learned a valuable lesson, don’t travel through Nassau on a Saturday because it’s cruise ship day. Nassau was the busiest we have even seen, even more so than on December break.

I cried when we left Long Island and I teared up when we landed in Connecticut. It was very hard to leave because of the amazing time we had. I cried when we landed because of fear of a second year of covid teaching.

I don’t know how to wrap up this post, except to thanks to the people that made this a wonderful trip, especially our host and grateful for the experiences we had.
